Why this work
Age should not
decide the level of care.
A learner can need foundational reading practice and still deserve materials that respect their age, interests, and dignity. That is the starting point for Orthos.
Founded by special education teacher Keegan Meredith, Orthos brings together explanations of reading instruction, focused teaching examples, and practical resources.
Our audience is the adult doing the supporting: the educator planning a lesson, the interventionist choosing practice, and the family trying to understand what helps.
Editorial approach
Explain clearly.
Show the work.
We draw on public research guidance, including the IES practice guide for reading interventions in grades 4–9. Sources should help explain a teaching decision, not act as a badge.
Orthos resources are instructional materials. They have not been independently evaluated as an intervention program, and we do not promise a particular outcome or treat a worksheet as a diagnosis.
Some videos use an AI presenter to narrate educational content. The presenter is a communication tool, not a real clinician or a source of credentials.
